We recommend sending your info at least 14 days prior to the event date. 20: Fish Fry at Brookville VFW, 26 West 8th Street, Brookville, IN 47012, 55 p.m. - 8 p.m.

20: Fish Fry at Batesville Knights of Columbus, 624 Delaware Rd, Batesville, IN 47006. 5:00 – 8:00 PM. All you-can-eat hand battered pollock or catfish, vegetable, potato. Other menu items available for order. Price $15. Dine in or carry out.

 

March

7-8 and 14-15: Join the sticky fun at one of the most beloved local winter events. Celebrating its 59th year, the Maple Syrup Festival is hosted on the grounds of Ohio’s beautiful Hueston Woods State Park. Take a hayride to the maple syrup cabin and learn how to extract syrup. Then head back to the lodge for all you can eat pancakes, music and purchase maple-themed treats. PANCAKES AT THE LODGE | 8:00 am – 1:00 pm | Hueston Woods Lodge -  Each day begins with all-you-can-eat pancakes at the Trailblazing Dining Room inside the Hueston Woods Lodge (5201 Lodge Road, College Corner). Prices for Adults are $9 & Children are $7. HAYRIDES & TOURS | 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm | Hueston Woods Beach - Meet at the Hueston Woods Beach parking lot to board a FREE hayride. This ride will take you to the starting point for a guided hike at Big Woods Preserve. During your hike through Big Woods, you’ll learn all about the art of syrup production. The tour ends at the Hueston Woods Sugar House, where you can purchase syrup, food, and beverages, then take a hayride back to the beach parking lot. No dogs or other pets are allowed on tour. TOUR THE NATURE CENTER | 10:00 am – 6:00 pm | Hueston Woods Nature Center - Visit the Hueston Woods Nature Center for indoor engagement, and outdoor exhibits while learning about Southwest Ohio native species…reptiles, foxes, birds of prey! Oh my!

7: The Rockdale Community Church offers a remedy for wintertime isolation. Are you a card player? Join us for a competitive game of Euchre o at 5 p.m. Rockdale Community Church is located in West Harrison, Indiana, on Johnson Fork Road—right off of Highway 52 & the Harrison, Ohio exit to Interstate 74. Don’t be a stranger. Games nights are free!

15: Rise & Shine Breakfast at Holy Guardian Angels Church in Cedar Grove. Sausage, cakes, eggs, fried potatoes and more. 8 a.m. - Noon. Free-will offering.

4: Blessed Growth' Children's Clothing & Toy Sale will be from 8 a.m. - Noon (free admission after 8 a.m.), with pre-sale beginning at 7 a.m. (for $3 per person.) Shop 4,000-sq. feet of gently used children's clothing, shoes, toys and baby essentials at St. Michael's School in Brookville, Indiana.
