13: Wreaths Across America Day to be held in Franklin County at 9 a.m. Join us at the Purple Heart Memorial on the Franklin County Government Center lawn for the Wreaths Across America ceremony, a meaningful event honoring our veterans. This year marks Franklin County's first participation in National Wreaths Across America Day. Led by the Brookville VFW, the ceremony is open to everyone and aims to recognize those who served and are buried here. After the ceremony, eight ceremonial wreaths will be placed at each of the Franklin County cemeteries currently registered with Wreaths Across America. The eight wreaths represent the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines and POW/MIA.
14: Santa at Cedar Grove Firehouse! Ho, ho, hold onto your helmets, Cedar Grove. We just got word from the North Pole that Santa Claus himself will be making a special stop at the Cedar Grove Volunteer Fire Department at 1 p.m. Santa’s swapping reindeer for a firetruck and can’t wait to meet all the good boys and girls (and grown-ups, too!). Come by for photos, smiles, and a little Christmas magic straight from the North Pole. So, mark your calendars, polish your candy cane stripes, and get ready to jingle all the way to the firehouse.
